Physiological and Molecular Responses of Wheat to Low Light Intensity

Here we document physiological and molecular attributes of three wheat cultivars (ZM9023, YM158 FM1228) under low light intensity with advanced technologies, including non-standard quantitative technology proteomics technology. We found lower dry matter accumulation compared ZM 9023 FM1228 intensities due to up-regulation photosynthetic parameters electron transport rate (ETR), Y(II), Fv/Fm, Chl (a + b) down-regulation a/b. ETR, Y(II) Fv/Fm significantly decreased between ZM9023 FM1228. The ETR PSII PSI increased, while use efficiency (LUE) decreased. that had greater propensity adapt ZM9023, as the former was able increase photochemical transfer rate, enhance photosystem activity, energy light. This meant flag leaf has stronger regulatory mechanism environment. Through proteomic analysis, LHC protein (LHCB1, LHCB4, LHCA2, LHCA3) for YH158 up-regulated, subunit b559 were down-regulated. also documented enhanced higher capture pigment complex (LHC), II (PSII), cytochrome B6F-related proteins, being positively correlated ΦPS(II), negatively initial fluorescence F0. suggest ΦPS(II) could be considered in shade tolerance screening facilitate breeding.
